A liminal horror TTRPG about surviving the Backrooms
Yellow is a 2 player horror role playing game where you're trying to escape an endless maze of cubicles known as the Backrooms.
One person is the Player, trying to survive from what horrors may lurk around the corner. If they want to Act, like search the room or try to survive, they must roll dice and add it to their Stress Pool. If the Player goes over 10 stress, they have a 50-50 chance of succumbing to the madness of the Backrooms. To alleviate stress, the Player can Dash, speeding through different rooms, but there is a higher chance of ominous creatures to appear.
The other person is the Game Master (GM), creating a tense scene for the player. The rules don't need much prep to start playing, as the rooms are determined in part by the Player.
Inspired by the Backrooms, a liminal series of cubicle walls and empty offices, illuminated by fluorescent lights and sounds muffled by the carpeted floors.
