Description
-
Westchester, England, 1539 CE:
Tonight a young woman furtively moves down the cobbled streets, navigating the narrow avenues lit only by candle-warmed oil-cloth windows. She looks behind her nervously. She is out far too late. As she turns her head forward once more, the dark pools of shadow behind her move. The shape of a man moves to stalk her as she turns a corner into a blind alleyway. It's a trap.
Abigail stops and waits for the man to approach, nervous. She senses his approach. As the man closes to the ally she can feel her fangs extrude. She hates this, so very much. She would rather be home, planning her best friend's wedding, but the hunger inside won't be sated any other way. Better a stranger than people she loves...
A still shadow across the way, unnoticed by both, watches the drama unfold and reflects back to when it developed such tactics three millennia ago in the city of Memphis on the Nile River, and wonders if this girl will last the century.
Iron in the Blood is a sandbox-style tabletop roleplaying game in which you play vampires struggling through the epochs of time, from the dusty alleys of Ancient Summeria to the anti-gravity cities of the late 3rd Millennium. Use the tools within to create vampire society to play in--making it as unique or derivative as you wish--and create your own personal horror game to play either by yourself or with friends.
Can you survive the passing ages and keep to the vows you've sworn, or will you break, and turn to ash under the rising sun?
Iron in the Blood is based on Ironsworn by Shawn Tomkin, and uses the Ironsworn SRD as its framework.
Iron in the Blood has no association with Shawn Tomkin or Ironsworn, other than wishing to pay homage to that inspiring work. You won’t need a copy of Ironsworn and it’s supplement Delve to play Iron in the Blood but you can’t go wrong getting them and using that material to enhance your Iron in the Blood game.
