A solo journaling game inspired by The Magnus Archives
Be Still, Archivist is a solo journaling TTRPG inspired by the horror podcast The Magnus Archives. Horrors lurk out there, they sneak through the world in the dark and dreary corners and the alleyways no one dares enter but no one can tell you why you mustn't. Worst than these fears are the people that worship them, they change their lives and form, adapting themselves to the true horror and becoming one with the fear that marked them.
That is where you come in Archivist, you must record the tales given to you, reports from the victims who were left alive, the ones that touched the horrors of the world and are unaware of the mark that grasps them, not letting them live out of compassion but because they have been trapped in a personal hell, reliving their new worst fear and becoming a battery for the horrors they try and fail, to escape from.
Be Still Archivist has been designed by InnocentGoblin, a TTRPG designer that has worked on games such as Grotty Gobbo's Tea Grotto and Everyone Deserves Shelter. For more games by InnocentGoblin, check out InnocentGoblin on Itch, Twitter, & Bluesky.
Be Still Archivist Uses the Crafted in a Shell SRD which was inspired by Everyone Deserves Shelter, a game originally designed for the TTRPGs For Human Rights' Justice Jam 2022.
This game was made during the Crafted in a Shell SRD Game Jam alongside other amazing games and phenomenal designers. Other games made during this jam included An Unabridged History of A Doomed Relationship and Down To Our Skeletons Again.
